Yoga Class Options
Multi-Level Yoga – This class is appropriate for Yoga students of all levels. Instructors guide classes through varying depths of postures. Depending on the level of comfort on the mat, pracitioners can take the postures to the appropriate place for their body. Students will learn to use the physical body as well as the breath to move through their practice. Classes include various styles of Yoga from Iyengar to Vinyasa Flow to Tibetan and beyond. Each class is unique and designed to improve stamina and endurance, strengthen and tone the body as well as increase flexibility.
Multi-Level Yoga w/ Power Infusion – This class is appropriate for those students looking to take Yoga to the next level. Classes combine varying styles and sequences to deepen the practice. Instructors use various combinations such a fast paced Vinyasa Flow for increased cardio, holding postures for longer periods of time to improve stamina and endurance, more advanced breathing techniques and advanced versions of asanas. This combination strengthens the body, creates long, lean muscles and increases flexibility.
Yoga Principle - This class is perfect for those new to Yoga and just beginning a practice as well as any practitioner who wishes to refresh their practice. Class includes principle Yoga postures, transitions from posture to posture, basic breathing techniques, stress reduction and some Yoga philosopy.
Awaken Yoga – Perfect for the beginner and the seasoned practitioner, this is an invigorating way to start the day. This is a wake-up-and-go class focuses on getting the body moving and the metabolism revved for the day. You will find a mix of Sun Salutations, flow and morning stretches.
Gentle Yoga – This class is a great starting point for anyone just getting into Yoga, those who want to make sure their basic poses are correct and/or clients with certain limitations. Lessons will be taught on postures, breath work and relaxation. Why take this class? Improper poses can cause strain and/or pain in the body as well as inhibiting a practice from advancing. Also, it is important to know what to expect from a Yoga practice and learn why certain things are done.
Mom and Me - As Mom's we know how hard it is to carve out time for yourself. This class is designed to help you do that! While you work with one of our instructors to relax and get fit, your child(ren) will have be guided through their very own, age appropriate class with another instructor. Open to children 2 1/2 - 6 years old. Sign-up for six weeks sessions and spend a little time focusing on you!
Express Lunch - A Multi-Level Yoga class (see description above) to enjoy while on your lunch break. Same great class, just in a shorter amount of time!
Hot Yoga – This class is practiced in a 90-100 degree room. It combines Vinyasa Flow with more traditional sequences. Designed to enhance endurance as well as increase the body, mind connection.
Stretching & Strengthening – This class is great for any person who wants to strengthen, improve balance, stretch, increase flexiblity or just get moving. Perfect for the Yoga newcomer or the seasoned practioner.
Kids' Yoga – (Beginning January 9th) This class is for children 6 -10 years of age and combines fun, funky movements with breath work and relaxation. Kids work on coordination, flexibility and strength.
Restorative Yoga - The focus of this class is to relax the body in order to allow the body time to de-stress. One can expect to spend time in restful postures in order to restore balance to the body, mind and spirit.
Barre Sculpt - This class is a fun, intense full body workout that tones, strengthens and sculpts your body. It is a non-impact workout that will burn calories, fat and improve your flexibility. Barre Sculpt will also improve your endurance, stamina and strength. This workout uses small, isolated movements that will have you "feeling the burn". You will work your muscles to fatigue and then stretch them to achieve that long, lean look. Class size is small to ensure personal attention to help you achieve your fitness goals.
Prenatal Yoga – Many woman inquire about Prenatal Yoga. We encourage pregnant women to attend our Mutli-Level Yoga classes. In these classes, women will work closely with the instructor to create a Yoga practice geared toward specific needs at various phases of pregnancy.
Yoga Therapy/Private Sessions/Parties - Our instructors are available for Yoga Therapy, private Yoga classes as well as specific group classes by appointment. Why not treat your friends to a special Yoga class or buy a private session for someone you love? Just email us to set this up.
