Kay began exploring yoga as a complementary practice to running and cycling about 17 years ago. She really started to appreciate the meditative and restoration aspects of her yoga practice when her life's adventure-journey took unexpected pathways. The more she experienced yoga, the more she appreciated how much it enriched her life and helped to alleviate stress. Her yoga practice became a habit, then an "addiction", which culminated in completing her 200 hour teacher training thru Pink Lotus Yoga with Lisa Caunitis in March of 2018. She is registered with Yoga Alliance.
Kay's desire when teaching hatha yoga is to share by expressing and enjoying our common humanity. She does this by generating inspiration and optimism, with a mindful, thoughtful, strengthening practice that can accommodate all levels of the practice. She believes that yoga is accessible to everyone, regardless of physical condition, age, or flexibility! She believes the ongoing practice of yoga is empowering and liberating, regardless of spiritual acclimation.
Off the mat, Kay can be found in another country (42 and counting…), or cooking, cycling and loving her friends, family and pets. She has been a CASA for Children volunteer since 2012, and is passionate about advocating for children with special needs or circumstances.
