Shaun Mentzer received her RYT200 through the Pink Lotus Yoga Teacher Training Program and Yoga Alliance. When beginning to practice yoga in 2013, she was looking to live a healthier lifestyle, but she found so much more. She discovered that the practice of yoga is not only about the connection of mind, body and breath, but it is also about connection to community. She is passionate about helping her students learn to foster the connection between physical movement and breath work through poses that help improve their overall well-being by focusing on alignment, strengthening and meditative movement. Shaun also sees a strong importance for daily meditation to reduce stress, anxiety and to provide mental focus and relaxation. Each time her students leave their mats, she hopes that she has helped to open not only their bodies, but also their hearts to the love of yoga.
